CELPIP test centres in Surrey: every location, sitting times and how to book

Every CELPIP test centre in Surrey with the address and area, the sitting times and volume in the September 2026 calendar, how far ahead to book, the nearest alternatives when it is full, and the fee.

Updated September 11, 2026

Surrey has three CELPIP test centres, and all three are in Newton within a few blocks of 137 Street and King George Boulevard — convenient if you live south of the Fraser, and unusual for running sittings from 8:30 a.m. to as late as 7:30 p.m. Around 360 sittings were listed for the coming three months in September 2026. The fee is the national CAD $299 plus tax for CELPIP-General ($199 plus tax for General LS), and bookings go through your celpip.ca account only.

Sittings, times and how far ahead to book

Knowledge Box lists the widest range of times — 8:30 or 9:30 a.m., early afternoon, and 7 or 7:30 p.m. — which suits shift workers and anyone who cannot take a weekday off. MOSAIC Engage runs a 12:30 p.m. session that sold out first in the week checked. Book one to two weeks ahead for a weekday; a week more for the late-evening sessions, which are few.

If Surrey is full: the nearest alternatives

Vancouver's six centres are the nearest alternative: Surrey Central to Granville station is about 40 minutes on the Expo Line, and the downtown centres run 9 a.m., early-afternoon and 6 p.m. sessions. From Newton itself, King George station is the quickest connection.

Fee, ID and booking

Every Surrey centre charges the national fee — CAD $299 plus tax for CELPIP-General, $199 plus tax for General LS (celpip.ca, September 2026) — and none of them takes bookings: you register and pay in your celpip.ca account, choose the centre and sitting there, and receive the confirmation by email. Bring one original government-issued photo ID in exactly the name you registered with; a mismatch is the most common reason candidates are turned away at check-in. Transfers to another date or centre are made in the same account and carry a fee.

Before you sit it

The centre decides where you sit; the weeks before decide the level. Take one full-length mock first — it shows which of the four skills needs the time — then drill that skill with timed sets in the real format. Two sets in every Listening and Reading part and two prompts in every Writing and Speaking task are free, and a Surrey date two weeks out is enough time to use them.

Booked your date? Start with the free mock.

All twenty sections in the official order, with a level estimate per skill and criterion notes on your writing and speaking — so the next two weeks go where they are needed.
