Vancouver is the best-served CELPIP city in Canada by sittings per resident: six centres had dates in the September 2026 calendar, four of them downtown within a few blocks of each other, and around 640 sittings were listed for the coming three months, including 6 p.m. evening sessions. The fee is the national CAD $299 plus tax for CELPIP-General ($199 plus tax for General LS), and every booking is made through your celpip.ca account.

Sittings, times and how far ahead to book
With around 640 sittings listed, Vancouver has a date within days on most weeks. The downtown centres run a 9 a.m. session, a 1:30 or 2 p.m. session and, at Bayswater and ELS-ILSC, a 6 p.m. session — useful if you work days. The two MOSAIC Engage locations on Commercial Drive and Boundary Road serve the east side and are on SkyTrain lines, so they are often the quicker option from Burnaby or the Tri-Cities than driving downtown.
If Vancouver is full: the nearest alternatives
Surrey has three centres, all in Newton, and long days from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Surrey Central to downtown Vancouver is about 40 minutes on the Expo Line, so either city is realistic from the other. If every downtown session is taken, the MOSAIC Engage centres on the east side usually still have seats.
Fee, ID and booking
Every Vancouver centre charges the national fee — CAD $299 plus tax for CELPIP-General, $199 plus tax for General LS (celpip.ca, September 2026) — and none of them takes bookings: you register and pay in your celpip.ca account, choose the centre and sitting there, and receive the confirmation by email. Bring one original government-issued photo ID in exactly the name you registered with; a mismatch is the most common reason candidates are turned away at check-in. Transfers to another date or centre are made in the same account and carry a fee.
Before you sit it
The centre decides where you sit; the weeks before decide the level. Take one full-length mock first — it shows which of the four skills needs the time — then drill that skill with timed sets in the real format. Two sets in every Listening and Reading part and two prompts in every Writing and Speaking task are free, and a Vancouver date two weeks out is enough time to use them.
