CELPIP test centres in Canada by city: where to sit the test and how to book

CELPIP is a computer-delivered test, sat at official test centres run through Paragon Testing Enterprises. Centres operate in most Canadian provinces, concentrated where demand is: the Greater Toronto Area (including Brampton and Mississauga), Metro Vancouver (including Surrey), Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg all have regular sittings, and Paragon also lists locations in several other countries. Availability changes month to month, so the only reliable list is the official test-centre finder on celpip.ca.

Test centres by city

The centres below are the ones that had sittings in the celpip.ca booking calendar for each city in September 2026, with the sitting pattern the calendar showed at the time; a city may list further centres that had no dates that week. Every one is a Paragon-authorised centre; the fee is the same everywhere in Canada — CAD $299 plus tax for CELPIP-General and $199 plus tax for General LS — and all bookings go through celpip.ca, never through the centre. Centres open and close, so confirm the address on the official finder before you travel.

Toronto

celpip.ca lists around ten Toronto centres. The ones with the most frequent sittings in the September 2026 calendar were ILAC Toronto (425 Bloor Street East), ILSC Toronto (443 University Avenue), Precise Solutions (2300 Yonge Street), BITTS Testing Services (455 Spadina Avenue) and People Analytics (7191 Yonge Street, at the North York–Thornhill border); Centre of English Studies (Elizabeth Street), Prometric (Bloor Street West), Bayswater Toronto, Troy Testing and English Testing Canada are also listed. Sittings run most weekdays with a morning session around 9–10 a.m. and an afternoon session around 1:30–2:15 p.m.; the calendar listed roughly 600 upcoming sittings, so a slot within two weeks is usually available.

Brampton and Mississauga

Brampton's centres with sittings in the September 2026 calendar: Xyna International (60 Gillingham Drive), Eastview College (239 Queen Street East) and BITTS Testing Services (5 Montpelier Street). Demand here is high relative to capacity — most sittings in the coming week were sold out when checked — so book Brampton two to three weeks ahead, or look at a Toronto centre for a sooner date. Vancouver

Vancouver is the best-served city in the country, with around 640 upcoming sittings and evening sessions at 6 p.m. as well as morning and early-afternoon ones.

Surrey

Surrey runs unusually long days — sittings from 8:30 a.m. to as late as 7:30 p.m. — which suits shift workers, and around 360 sittings were listed.

Calgary

How booking works

1. Create an account on celpip.ca and choose the test you need — CELPIP-General for permanent residence and most purposes, CELPIP-General LS (Listening and Speaking only) for citizenship.
2. Pick a location and date in the finder. Popular urban centres can fill one to three weeks ahead; quieter locations often have space within days.
3. Pay online and save the confirmation. Your name at booking must exactly match the passport or permanent-resident document you will bring.
4. Arrive early with that identification. Personal items are stored outside the test room; the centre provides everything you use during the sitting.

Choosing between a centre and CELPIP Online

Paragon also offers a remote-proctored online sitting for some tests. It can be the practical choice if the nearest centre is hours away — but whether an online result is accepted depends on the organization receiving it, and the technical requirements (camera, room checks, a stable connection) are strict. Before booking online, confirm two things on the official pages: that the online format is available for your test, and that the body you are submitting scores to accepts it. When in doubt, a test centre is the safe default.

Practical test-day details

• The full CELPIP-General runs about three hours with no scheduled break; the LS version is roughly seventy minutes.
• Everything is done on the centre's computer, including speaking — you talk into a headset in a room of other test-takers, which is worth simulating in practice.
• Scores are posted to your online account, typically within a few business days; see our results guide for the exact timeline and what to do if yours is late.
• If you need to reschedule, do it as early as possible — the closer to test day, the larger the fee, per Paragon's policies.

One week out: make the format familiar

The single best use of the final week is a full-length mock in one sitting. Test centres are quiet but not silent, timing is unforgiving, and speaking into a headset while others talk around you is a skill of its own. A complete run-through removes the surprises so test day is only about the English.
